We were doing a kitchen and bath remodel and while working on the budget with the contractor we realized that a LOT of decisions had to be made. More than we had the time or bandwidth to take on. Tile, cabinetry design, finishes, appliances, countertops, flooring, lighting, and many more I’m not remembering. Our contractor recommended Marosi, and said she was willing to be as involved as we needed – from minor design questions, helping to order cabinets, to total design including window treatments, furniture choice and recovering, etc.
We went the middle road – a lot of design work for the remodel and quasi-project management with the contractor. Marosi is cost effective because, although we obviously paid her for her work, we also got the advantage of her trade discounts, her contacts in the construction industry including plumbing, finishes, etc. Additionally, her ongoing relationship with them was something they value, so they took good care of us.
She always answered the phone when questions arose and was quick to brainstorm resolutions to any unexpected issues. She advocated for us when we had issues to resolve with our contractor. She’s also enjoyable to work with and helped make an intrinsically stressful process less stressful. That alone is worth its weight in gold.
Marosi made great design suggestions but always took the time to incorporate our personal preferences and style. Finally, everyone who has seen the remodel loves it, including us!
